Environment policy of Chandigarh Administration for Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park

  1. • CTP envisages Tertiary Level of Treatment of Domestic Swage separately at the level of Plots greater than 4 Hectare in size and use of tertiary treated water for recycling within the plot.
  2. • CTP further envisages a Common STP to cater to the need of the smaller Plots and provide tertiary level treatment and recycle the treated effluent within the Campus area.
  3. • Except in monsoons where tertiary treated sewage shall be discharged into public sewer in all other seasons, the domestic sewage shall be treated and recycled.
  4. • No discharge in Sukhna Choe.
  5. • Provision of Sehaj Safai Kendra “Project Sahyog”.
  6. • A sprawling Green Belt.
  7. • Rain Water Harvesting
  8. • Compliance with Provisions of Pollution Control Acts and Rules notified there under
  9. • Noise Management
  10. • Environment Monitoring and Management.
  11. • Use of Solar Street lights.
  12. • Separate Water Tanks for Toilets at Roof Top to use recycled water.
  13. • Use of cement concrete roads based on fly ash based cement.
  14. • Green Auto roots to link CTP.
  15. • Use of Battery Run buses for intro-movement in CTP campus.
  16. • Buildings to be provided with Energy Saving Features.
