The Chandigarh Administration has conceived a new park-cum-recreational centre in Sector 23

Chandigarh, April 18:- In its commitment to upgrade and provide new infrastructure in southern sectors of Chandigarh, the Chandigarh Administration has conceived a new park-cum-recreational centre in Sector 23. A site comprising of 22 acres, stretches from Kitchen Garden, Sector 23 to the Grape Nursery adjoining Traffic Park along Sector 23 & 24 dividing road at the back of Sector 23 Govt. Model Senior Secondary School. Features such as interesting walkways, flower beds, landscaping features, labyrinths, foot bridges, small library for children, sand pits, bird corner, rain shelters, refreshment kiosks, water channels, will be added attractions. The natural rivulet passing through the site will also be channelised as part of the beautification alognwith construction of foot bridges across it and new colourful trees will also be planted. The Park will be opened to public within a period of 6 months.
